It’s been years since selecting a single Windows operating system for your computer has been such a tough decision. Windows XP offers the best overall speed, best notebook battery life, and best hardware and software compatibility.

But the best choice might be not choosing at all: With just a little planning and effort, you can have both WinXP and Vista installed at the same time on the same computer, with a convenient OS (operating system) selection menu appearing at boot time to let you choose. We’ll cover how to add Vista to WinXP (and remove it if you’ve changed your mind), how to add WinXP to Vista, and go over licensing issues.
Add WinXP To Vista
Most new computers now have Vista preloaded, but adding WinXP to such a system is no more difficult than adding Vista to an older machine, with one catch: You’ll need to track down all the drivers WinXP needs for your new hardware.
VistaBootPro creates a boot menu for Vista users who want the option of booting Windows XP.
Steps:
1)Vista is preinsatalled on u r system,lets say on Drive A.
2)Go 4 a bootable Cd of XP and install Xp on Drive B.
3)Now When U restart U r system,U r System will boot into XP.
4)Install Microsoft .Net frame 2.0. or higher.If u dont hav ask for me 2 upload.
5)Load all Drivers after that i.e sound driver,display driver,etc.
6)Now open PortableVista Boot Pro which is saved on U r USB or any drive lets say C.
7)When u open it will ask 2 back up dont go 4 this.
8)click on system bootloader,check mark(tick) "window vista boot loader" and
"all Driver".Then Click Install Bootloader.
9).Click open "Manage OS entries",in this screen u will be able to see both OS
listed click on each OS and in Change boot drive option 4 each operating system that is both XP and Vista Select drive name on which u r vista is installed. V.IMPNow Click On save Changes.
Eg. if vista is installed on drive A: ,In manage OS option for both microsoft xp and vista ,Set boot drive to A: only.
Now REboot U R system U will get the option 2 select OS for booting.
Write all this STEps on a paper or save in a notepad in U r drive
2 help u when installing.
Remember
This steps are only 4 if u have vista already installed.
Secondly follow the process Step by step To enjoy Dual boot.
Dont miss any step.
Before installing save all U r Xp drivers if u dnt have one. with
driver collector.Copy this vista boot pro to USb or Ur hard drive.
Copy all these Steps in notepad or note it down.
